Christmas 22

Ho, ho, Rudolf, once again saddle up. We are going for a ride…

Reflecting on the past year, it’s been a year full of life’s experiences, we dread the loss of a mother, these are the moments that you reflect on what’s important, the strength of a family at it’s worse of time.  As we bid farewell to our beloved mother in our own way, gathering all our loved ones at Christ Chapel in Woodbridge, VA.  We will always have your presence in our hearts.  We love you and miss you dearly.

Soledad and I have been keeping busy with local activities, exploring new places and delightful cuisine.  We had a wonderful vacation recently. We decided to go to Cartagena, Colombia, a place known for its cobblestone streets and vibrant colonial structures with a tropical climate. We had an amazing time.  We had the chance to visit Eric and Ariel in their new home in Denver, and they are adjusting well.  During our visit, we were able to explore some of the beautiful sites in Colorado.

David and Karen are doing well and staying busy with family and friends. They continue to love spending time at the beach, especially Rehoboth on their annual trip with the Pegnatos. Their adventure this year took them to Portugal where they explored Porto and Lisbon. The scenery and architecture were impressive along with the food and wine. We were on frenchie sitting duty while they were away.  Rosita was upset they didn’t get to see Mont Blanc.

The month of May was a crazy one for Ariel and Eric. Eric got a dream job with United Airlines in Denver and was set to start in June. Ariel got a job teaching Precalculus and AP Statistics at a great school. After that, everything fell into place nicely. By June, they moved into their new home in Denver. They’re very excited to be in a place with mountains and where the weather is much cooler than Texas!

We are thankful for our blessings this year and look forward to making 2024 a time to spend more time with friends and family. The most precious thing we have is time, and this is what we need to provide for each other as much as possible. We send our best wishes for a delightful Christmas and a fruitful New Year to all of you.
